Anita & Blanco Texas

Hello family,

Here is a link to a beautiful place that is only a few miles from our
place.
There are cabins and a small campsite next to it. It's located along a
section of the Blanco River. We use to stay there a lot when we were
building our home. There is nothing like falling asleep to the sound of
a

We also have 13 acres of land, so lots of room for campers.

Meanwhile, a few geographical facts. We are located 40 miles north of
San
Antonio, or 45 miles southwest of Austin. Fredericksburg is only 35
minutes
to the northeast and you can also find unique shopping and restaurants
in
Wimberley (20 minutes) and New Braunfels (45 minutes). Gruene
(pronounced
'green' by the locals) is sort of like a suburb of New Braunfels. One
of
its claims to fame is Gruene Hall, the oldest dance hall in Texas (was
use
in the film, "Michael",with John Travolta). Try a google of "Gruene
Hall"
and you can read all about the place. In fact, if you just google
"Texas
Hill Country", you'll discover a lot about the area.

I am sorry that the time of year is not the best for everyone, but the
Texas heat in July can be rather unpleasant. We do have a small lake
(about
2.5 acres in size) on the property and late September should still be
warm
enough for canoeing or swimming.
